In Baltimore, she met her husband James Beasley, and they married on February 28, 1942. James went off to serve in World War II. While James was away, Eleanor gave birth to their first child, James Ross Jr. Once James returned from the war they moved to the family home on Cinder Road in 1947. Eleanor gave birth to five additional children, Carol, Barbara, Hewett, Mary Katherine and Bill. Eleanor lived at Cinder Road for 57 years, she was married to 'Jimmy' for 62 years, together they had five children, eight grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
