Cloie Haney Boyd age 92 passed away Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 at the Mt. View Health Care Center in Elkhorn City, Ky. Cloie was born on March 19th, 1916 to her parents the late Enoch Potter and Josephine Bentley Potter. She was the wife of the late Lester Boyd, a nurse aide and homemaker, a member of Sycamore Homemaker's Club, and a member of Hylton Regular Baptist Church. Along with her husband and parents, Cloie was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin Haney, eight brothers, and six sisters. Cloie is survived by one son, James C. (Lexie) Haney of Shelby Gap, Ky., Jean C. (Franklin) Hall of Shelby Gap, Ky., Loretta (Morris) Hall of Myra, Ky., seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6:30 P.M. at the Lucas & Son funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Larry Puckett, Jerry Overstreet, Willis Bartley, and others officiating. The burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery at West Liberty, Ky.
