Charles Edward 'Chuck' Morris III, 35, of Versailles, was killed at 2:24 a.m. Jan. 8, 2004, in a traffic accident along Troy-Sidney Road, near Troy, in Miami County. He was born Feb. 10, 1968, in Piqua, to Charles Edward Jr. and Rosalee Wilt Morris. They survive in Piqua. On Aug. 29, 1992, he married Cynthia Meyer who also survives. Other survivors include a son, Derek, and five daughters, Cassandra, Kristen, BreAnn, Danielle and Ellianna, all at home; three brothers, Jeff and Chad, both of Piqua, and Wayne of Fletcher; a sister, Sonya of Atlanta, Ga.; a grandmother, Margaret Wilt, Fletcher; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Linda Meyer, Versailles. Deceased are his grandparents, Charles Edward Sr. and Helen Morris and Roy Wilt. He was employed at Polysource in Piqua. He attended St. Denis Catholic Church, Versailles, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Covington, the Loyal Order of Moose, Piqua, and the Polysource Softball Team. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial will follow at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles. Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles.
