On June 21, 1900 she married James Thomas Sheffield in Hill County, Texas. Fannie and James had 12 children: Veta, Lula Mae, Edward, Clara, W. D., Rena Letha, Elmer, Clyde Marcus, David Lee, Robert Lee, Infant and Irvin Sheffield.

Fannie was preceded in death by her husband and several of her children. Burial was in the Santa Anna cemetery in Coleman County, Texas.
