Funeral services for Marie Sabin, age 91, of Morristown, SD will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Bethesda Lutheran Church north of Morristown, SD. Pastor Rose Trenbeath will officiate with burial in the Bethesda Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 30, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a family service at 7:00 p.m. all at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Lemmon.

A. Marie Sabin was born March 29, 1921 to Albert and Louise (Olson) Nerison, in Grant County, ND. She was baptized May 15, 1921 at Bethesda Lutheran Church by Pastor J. A. Eirkson. She was confirmed July 14, 1935 at Morristown Lutheran Church by Pastor H.J. Schear. She attended Wheeler School. Marie married Duane E. Sabin on December 1, 1943 at the farm. To this union four children were born: twin daughters Darlene and Diane, and sons Dennis and Larry.

Marie loved to be with her grandchildren and her family. She also enjoyed being with her church family and all of her friends. Marie was well known for her buns, pies, and other baked treats. She enjoyed having visitors in her home and everyone was welcome there. When she was young she loved to dance and roller-skate. Marie always enjoyed walking and still enjoyed it in her older years. She has been a member of the same church, Bethesda, south of Leith, all of her life.

Marie passed away on Saturday morning, July 28, 2012 in Bismarck, ND.

She is survived by daughters, Darlene (Don) Evans, Hays, NC, Diane (Ray) Feist, Belle Fourche, SD; sons, Dennis (Karen) Sabin, Larry (Debbie) Sabin of Morristown, SD; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Duane E. Sabin, and great-grandson Ryan Walters.
