Obituary for Susan Katherine Freeze Cover from the Frederick Post of Wednesday, April 1, 1914, as well as the Gettysburg Star & Sentinel, and the Adams County News, of Saturday, April 4, 1914:
"Mrs. William H. Cover. Mrs. Catharine Freas (sic) Cover, wife of William H. Cover, died at their home near Emmitsburg about noon on Saturday, from peritonitis, aged about 40 years. The Cover family lived in Gettysburg for some months, leaving here about a year ago, when Mr. Cover purchased the Liberty Mills, near Emmitsburg, on the Waynesboro Pike. Previous to their residence in Gettysburg he was proprietor of the Keystone Mills, in Highland Township, owned by J. I. Hereter. Mrs.Cover leaves her husband, one son, Clyde Cover, and a daughter, Nellie Cover, at home. The funeral was held Monday morning, meeting at the house at 11:30. Services in the Lutheran Church at Thurmont, Maryland, and interment at the same place."
