NANCY YANCEY, 87, of Charlie Tapp Rd., Roxboro, died Friday, July 27, 2012. Born in Person County, Mrs. Yancey was the daughter of the late James "Jimmy" R. and Hallie Mae Lunsford Yancey. Mrs. Yancey retired after 20 plus years with John Umstead Hospital and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Graveside rites will be held 3PM, Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Burchwood Cemetery by the Elder Jimmy Gray.
Mrs. Yancey is survived by one son, Larry Arnold Barr, of Van Buren, AK; two daughters, Hallie Marie Howell and Nancy Rita Glasscock, both of Roxboro; three sisters, Pauline Garrett, of Winston-Salem, Roxanna Dudley, of Raleigh and Brenda Smith, of Roxboro; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
