Clara Atkinson Fox Magers, 96, passed away September 5, 2004 at Sandy Regional Health Center. She was born October 25, 1907 in Hunter, Utah. Clara was the daughter of George G. Fox and Alice Isabella Wilding Fox. She married Oscar Eugene (Gene) Magers on March 1, 1926. Later sealed in the St. George L.D.S. Temple on Sept. 8, 1975. Clara lived an active life and was always involved in many activities. She enjoyed crocheting, especially baby booties, blankets and doll clothes. She played softball for the Shamrocks at White Park, their center fielder and a heavy hitter for the team. She and her father played for old folks dances, Clara the harmonica and George the English concertina. She loved being with her family and felt her progeny to be one of her greatest accomplishments. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gene; an infant son, Jessie Ray; two brothers and two sisters. She is survived five children, Oscar Eugene Mager, Jr. (Lois deceased), James Edward Magers (Elaine), Clara Louise "Sue" Miller (Ned), Erma Lucille McCoy (Lowell-deceased) and George Earl Magers (Janice-deceased, Dixie), 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 42 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004 at Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 5850 South 900 East, Murray UT. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 S., Sandy, UT.
