Mrs. Mary Alice Mixson Freeman, 82, of Early Branch, SC died early Monday morning July 30, 2012 at Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC. She was the widow of the late Jim Eddie Freeman. Born April 10th, 1930 in Hampton County she was the daughter of the late Elliott Mixson and Etta Cook Mixson. Mrs. Freeman retired from J.P. Stevens in Allendale and was a member of Deep Branch Baptist Church. She was actively attending Huggin Oak Church of God in Cummings. Survivors include: sons: Cecil Freeman and wife Bonnie of Early Branch, SC, Johnny Freeman and wife Linda of Varnville, SC and Gary "Tator" Freeman and wife Livia of Early Branch, SC, two sisters: Erma Adams and Carolyn Hughes both of Varnville, SC, grandchildren: Tammy Gaskins, Beverly Cook, April Moss, John Freeman, Jr., Gary Freeman, Jr., Ronnie Freeman, Samuel Freeman, and Joel Freeman. There are 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son Ronnie Freeman, one daughter Cindy Freeman, and one granddaughter, Angel Freeman. Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 1st, 2012 at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Chaplain Dr. Shirley Dempsey. Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home located at 300 Mulberry St. West, Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. and until the hour of services on Wednesday morning. Memorials in her honor may be directed to the Sand Hill Cemetery Association, 111 Mary St., Hampton, SC 29924.

Mr. Samuel Robert Freeman, 30, of Lowndes Lake Road near Varnville, died Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2019.

Mr. Freeman was born May 3, 1989 in Walterboro, a son of Gary Eugene Freeman, Sr. and Livia Spell Freeman. He worked as a Directional Driller with Access Underground Systems and attended the Huggin Oak Church of God in Cummings. He was an exceptional soccer player during high school at Wade Hampton High and loved his job like it was a hobby.

Surviving are his wife: Teresa Lynn Cole Freeman of Port Royal; step-children: Kendall Cole, McKenna and Caleb Soto; his white German Shepherd Kaper; brothers: Gary Freeman, Jr. and wife Brana of Hampton and Joel Elliott Freeman of Hilton Head; sister: Beverly F. Cook and husband Keith of Hampton; nieces and nephews: Chandler and Anthony Cook, Ashton, Carrie, Sarah and Abraham Freeman; and a great-niece: Emery.

Funeral services will be 6:30 Wednesday in the Huggin Oak Church of God in Cummings conducted by Rev. Travis Shirley and Rev. Ricky Hartsoe with burial in the Sand Hill Cemetery directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home in Hampton.

Visitation will be Wednesday prior to services beginning at 4 PM at the Church.
