William Thomas Day was born just after the beginning of the Civil War. His father, Thomas Day, one month after William's birth left Tennessee and enlisted with the Union Army in Kentucky. Williams mother, Sarah Ann Smith, not long after her husband Thomas left Tennessee, moved with William and his sister Sarah Ann Jr. to live with Sarah's parents who had previously settled in Missouri.
William married his first wife, Susannah/Catherine (Pinky) Brashier, August 22, 1883 in Trenton, Grundy Co., MO. They had a daughter, Orpha Dorthy Day, born December 28, 1884 in Galt, Liberty Township, Grundy Co., MO.
Susannah/Catherine/Pinky seperated from William Thomas sometime after the birth of daughter, Orpha Dorthy. William Thomas married his second and third wives after moving to California! Susannah/Catherine/Pinky remarried twice after her marriage and divorce from William. First to George Talkington and had one child "Rollie", born July 25,1889. They divorced and she married Edward D. Cook who adopted Rollie. Ed Cook and "Anna"/Susannah had four children.

The "joint/dual" grave marker for Addie May and William Thomas was designed and placed in the Arbuckle I.O.O.F. Cemetery by the direction of Hank & his wife!
