Funeral services are to be held Tuesday in Cypress for Eulaine Akridge Allgood, a long-time Long Beach educator who died Friday.

Mrs. Allgood was the wife of Brig. Gen. Neil Allgood, assistant division commander of the California National Guard's 40th Infantry Division, headquartered in Long Beach.

Mrs. Allgood was employed by the Long Beach Unified School District for 22 years, for the last seven as district business-education consultant. Her earlier service with the district included instructing in the business-education department, where she later became director.

After leaving the district in 1978, she became a professor in the business department at Riverside Community College and at the same time was an instructor at UC Riverside. She retired in June 1981.

Services for Mrs. Allgood will be conducted at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Our Fathers, Forest Lawn in Cypress.

The family suggests that any memorial considerations be made to the American Cancer Society.
