Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Edith Callister Colbert passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2004 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 84. She was born April 18. 1920 in Santaquin, Utah to Donald Davis Callister and Mary Ethel Whitehead. She married her eternal sweetheart, Edward Merlin Colbert on May 20, 1938, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were happily married for 64 years until his death. She was active in the LDS Church serving in many positions in the Relief Society and Primary. She was a wonderful friend, sister, and loving mother who raised five children, one a special son, Alvin, for the 48 years of his life. She was raised and received her education in Salt Lake City, graduating from West High School. She is survived by one brother, Dean Callister; four children Marilyn (Dave) Huffman, Edward (Jeannene) Colbert, Joan (Mike) Giboney, and Robert (Tonya) Colbert. She has 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Her husband Ed, two sons Alvin and James, and a daughter Ethel Ann preceded her in death. Funeral services held Saturday, September 11, 2004 at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City. Interment in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
