Anderkin, William J., 85, widow of Ruby R. Anderkin, died Sun., Aug. 5, 2007. Born in Richmond, IN, he was a son of the late James and Ethel Anderkin. A retired engineer with General Electric, he was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and an Army Air Corp veteran of WW II. He is survived by a son, James Edward Anderkin Sr, Lexington; grandchildren, Katina (Tim) May, Lexington and James E. (Melanie) Anderkin Jr., Versailles; great grandchildren, Tyler R. May and Katelyn May; brothers and sisters, Elmo (Wanda) Anderkin, Jean (Vincent) Fish, Bonnie (Glenn) Coffey, and Junior (Perlina) Anderkin, all of Berea, Anne Anderkin, Lexington and Mary Jane (Dock) Amyx, Liberty Township, OH. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Anderkin Bishop, and brother, Bert Anderkin.

Funeral services will be 10 AM Thurs. at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland, conducted by Rev. Dick Wilkins. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Wed. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Legion Post 8.
