He is survived by his parents; a son, Steven Agan; nephew, Raymond Agan; stepsister, Monica McCrary; stepbrother, Bob Agan; special aunts, Janet Morrow (Joseph), and Beverly Branstetter. He also has many cousins, extended family, and his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Charity Payne; his paternal grandmother, Helen Glasford; a brother, Steven Agan; and a sister, Pamela Agan.
John graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School, and became a mechanic and boat electronics technician, having completed many courses and achieved many certificates in his profession. He lived in Wisconsin for several years working on yachts and traveling to many areas, even abroad, to make sure the yacht was the correct purchase for the customer or flew to various areas to get a new yacht set up and operational. He was a man of many talents. Repairing electronics was a great past time for him. He also enjoyed the sport of drag racing. He will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with the Rev. Eddie Hayes officiating. Calling is today from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
