Caroline Ison Tester Bowthorpe DuBois returned to loving arms of her Heavenly Father July 28, 2003 at the age of 83. Born June 2, 1920 in Sugar House, Utah to Vernon Raymond and Caroline Worthington Tester, she was the youngest of nine children. At the age of 14, she met and fell in love with Nephi Ford Bowthorpe. They were married two years later on March 18, 1936 in Salt Lake City and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Caroline worked as a waitress, telephone operator, and at the LDS Church vault. She loved spending time with her family and kept in close contract with all of them. After Nephi’s passing, Caroline was fortunate enough to meet Stephen DuBois whom she married September 16, 1989. They shared many happy years and were involved with the Salt Lake County Senior Center in Sandy. Caroline is survived by her husband Stephen, her four children, Gayle (Nan) of Salt Lake City, Ford (Diana) of Wanship, Larry, (Judi) of Midvale, and Carole (Lyle) of Sandy, two stepdaughters, Kris (Glenn) of Sandy and Kathe of Walnut Creek, CA; 26 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Brother David Tester, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Services were held on Friday August 1, 2003 at the Butler 1st Ward, 7000 S 2700 E. Interment is at the Holladay Memorial Park, 4800 Memory Lane (1990 East) Holladay
