Virgil Colman Asbury, son of the late James V. and Mary Bell Forbis Asbury, was born 20 Feb 1906 at Crail Hope in Green Co. and died Fri. 17 Nov [1967] at the Howard Clinic in Glasgow. He was 61 years of age. He had professed faith in Christ. Mr. Asbury is also survived by 1 brother: Raymond Crail Hope; 4 sisters: Mrs. Vera Thompson and Mrs. Norma Jewell, both of Crail Hope; Mrs. Violet Bastin, Stanford, Ky. and Mrs. Kathryn Jones, Hodgenville. Funeral services were held at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home Sun. 19 Nov with burial in the family Cem. The Rev. V.A. Jones officiating. Pallbearers were: Bob Allen Jewell, Jackie and Jimmy Jones, Randy Bastin, Durard Gardner and Jimmy Pardee.
