He was retired from Jefferson Bus Line and a U.S. Air Force veteran, where he served as an air policeman. He was a Fort Smith police officer, having obtained the rank of sergeant. He was attended Fort Smith High School and was a member of Central Christian Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren. The Fort Smith Police Deptartment will render honors.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a daughter, Susan Coulson of Van Buren; two sons, Harold Haney Jr. and Alan Haney, both of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Alan Haney II, Tommy, Kevin and Brent Haney, Ronnie Miller and Phil Coulson.
