John Henry Shriver

John Henry Shriver, aged 73 years, died at his home in North View, Mannington, W. Va., on Saturday morning, July 3, 1943. Funeral services were held Tuesday. Interment was at the new Memorial Park.

Mr. Shriver was born at Spraggs on June 24, 1868. He was a son of the late Jack and Olive Kent Shriver, and was married to Stella May Masters in September 1899. Eight children were born to them.

Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Dessie Kinsely, of Grafton, W. Va.; Mrs. Inghram Rinehart, of Massillon, Ohio; Lafe Shriver, of Ford City; Mrs. Charles Six, of Jollytown; Chalky Shriver of Michigan; Mrs. Ruth Peters, Mrs. Lucille Albaugh, Mrs. Ella Jones, all of Scio, Ohio; Mrs. Helen Shumate, of Mullins, W. Va.; Joseph Shriver, with the U.S. Army, and Charles Shriver, with the U. S. Marines.

Four brothers survive: Jacob and Ellis Shriver, of Ohio; Lindsey Shriver, of Osage, W. Va., and Gale Shriver, of Ft. Worth, Texas; also two sisters, Mrs. Ella Lantz, of Pennsboro, W. Va., and Mrs. Sadie Palmer, of Washington, Pa.

There are several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had lived in Mannington, W. Va., for 45 years.
