Times Union, Saturday, January 27, 2001 Turner, Joseph W. WYNANTSKILL -- Joseph W. "Bolly" Turner, 81, of Hemingway Lane, died Friday at Samuel Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, after a long illness. Born in Troy, he was son of the late Joseph H. and Maud N. Everton Turner and husband of the late Effie G. Herrick Turner. He had resided in the Troy area all his life and was educated at Troy Public School 12 and Troy High School. Mr. Turner was a machinist for Adirondack Steel for 38 years, retiring in 1988. He was an Army veteran of World War II stationed in France. He is the father of Mari Beth Turner of Calabasas, CA; brother of Jessie Moeske of Hampton Manor, Marion C. McLoughlin of Troy and Maud Gundrum of Troy; and grandfather of Gregory William Frank of San Diego CA and Lauren Bethany Frank of Calabasas, CA Also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Emma Goodman and a brother, Thomas R. Turner. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., corner of Pawling at Maple Avenue, Troy with Rev. James C. Mosher, pastor of Woodside Presbyterian Church in Troy, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Interment, Evergreen Cemetery in Wynantskill.
