Helen L. Karnes

EDGERTON — Helen L. Karnes, 65, 333 E. Hull St., Edgerton, died late Saturday, April 14, 1990, At St. Joseph's Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Born in Montpelier on march 26, 1925, she was the daughter of Blanche (Chaney) [and] Oscar Calvin.

She had been employed at the Ohio Art Co. in Bryan and Evergreen Manor and Park View nursing centers, and most recently had worked at Knox Linen Service in Edgerton.

Mrs. Karnes was a member of the Edgerton Church of Christ, the Edgerton Business and Professional Women and the American Legion Auxiliary.

On Nov. 26, 1942, she married Arthur J. Karnes in Montpelier, and he survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Fay (Linda) Entenman of Edgerton; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Mrs. Lola Goller of Bryan.

Preceding her in death were three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Edgerton Church of Christ with D.V. Dillinger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton. Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association.
