In 1901 Hob, his parents and siblings Solon, Ellen and Coy boarded a train at Pennington Gap, Lee County, Virginia for thier move to Hunt County, Texas. They resided in the Kinser Community.
Hob first married Clara Cora Carter on December 20, 1919 in Hunt County, Texas. Clara passed away in 1933 from Lock Jaw. She is buried in the Money Cemetery in Hunt County, Texas.
They were the parents of six children.
Hob married as his second wife Era McCasland on December 04, 1939 in Greenville, Hunt County, Texas.

Funeral services for L.H. (Hob) Sprinkle of Cado Mills will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Coker-Mathews Chapel in Greenville with Rev. Gideon Bush and Rv. Eddie Frazier officiating. Burial will be in the Caddo Mills 1.0.0 F Cemetery.
He died Sunday afternoon at Citizens General Hosital.
Born in Pennington Gap, Va., on August 4, 1898, he was the son of Elisha Pery and Cora Freeman Sprinkle. He married Era McCastland in Greenville on Dec. 4, 1939. He worked for the City of Greenville's street department for over 30 years. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Era Sprinkle of Caddo Mills, two sons, Dale Sprinkle of Lizella, Ga., and Doyle Sprinkle of Gun Barrel City, three daughters, Sybil Lamm of Kingston, Jean Gillentine of Wylie and Wilnetha Green of Tyle, one stepdaughter, Louis Regan of Caddo Mills; three brothers, Bill Sprinkle and Chandler Sprinkle both of Greenville, and Wylie Sprinkle of Paris; two sisters Alie Ray Goen and Hazel Mays both of Greenville; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Carter Sprinkle in 1933; one daughter; one sister, and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jack Sprinkle, Neel Dearing, Don Goen, Perry Goen, Mickey Money and Don Sprinkle
