MRS. LEON BLANCHARD
Mrs. Erma B. Blanchard. aged 75, of Oneonta RD 2, died Thursday at Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta after an illness of three years.
She was born February 4. 1882 in Hartwick. a daughter of Richard and Ida (Damon) Benson. She was married first to Albert Balcom. He died in 1923. In August, 1925, she was married to Leon Blanchard in Oneonta. She was a member of the former Toddsville Methodist Church and had lived in Oneonta for twenty years. Her entire life before that had been spent in Toddsville.
Mrs. Blanchard leaves her husband, of Oneonta, a son. James Balcom of Oneonta, two daughters, Mrs. Guy Higgins and Mrs. Fred Stiglic, both of Toddsville, five stepchildren, Ralph Blanchard, Oneonta; Mrs. Charlotte Acker, Cobleskill ; Mrs. Ruth Decker, Binghamton; Mrs. Edith Spurbcck, Cobleskill, Mrs. Ethel Woodbeck, Schenectady; a grandchild; a great grandchild.
The funeral was held at 2 p. m. Sunday from the Ingalls Funeral Home here with the Rev. Herbert F. Miller, pastor of Toddsville Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Fly Creek Cemetery.
