Naomi Butler (Mobley) (Kelley), age 95, formerly of Griffin and Molena Georgia, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012. To her friends and neighbors she always had a smile, a kind word, and delicious food from her garden. To her family she was guardian and saint. And, to her God, she was a loyal servant and an adoring subject. Naomi's sense of humor, work ethic, capacity for love, green thumb and culinary talents are but a few of her traits which will be missed.

During a tent revival about 1940, Naomi vowed to be an instrument of God. Since then, she attended Highland Methodist Church, West Sunnyside Holiness Congregational Church, and Molena Baptist Church. However, the church walls could not contain her relationship with God, for he was with her always. Surely she is with him now.

The eldest daughter of William Frank Butler and Mollie Gibson, Naomi was born in Pike County Georgia on December 7, 1917. She was married to B. Oscar Mobley for over 50 years. Together they had three children -- Carol, Wallace, and Bennie. Several years after the death of her husband, in 1997, Naomi reconnected with a former beau from Molena, Georgia, Richard Kelley. They married a year later. They enjoyed a quiet life in Molena; attending Molena Baptist Church and the Hollenville Opera House. Richard died in 2009.

She is survived by her children Carol Tibbles, Wallace and Bennie Mobley. Seven grandchildren – Tim Tibbles (Kodi Crippen-Tibbles), Tammy Tibbles (Aaron Sugarman) , Mark Tibbles (Maggie Tibbles), Brian Tibbles, Bennie Mobley, Jr (Vicki Perdue Mobley), Benson Mobley (Toni Mobley), Kristen Mobley; nine great grandchildren – Connor Lau, Dillon Mobley, Jaston Weatherly, Dalton Mobley, Hunter Mobley, Elijah Tibbles, Benjamin Tibbles, Nolan Tibbles, Allison Tibbles, and Kailyn Mobley and 6 great-great grandchildren - Isiah and Mariah Stroud, and Chelsea, Kayla, Brittany, and Michael Perdue.

Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi Kelley will be conducted on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Friday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home
