============================∼Michael William (Bill) Eyre, 3/4/1922 - 3/26/2012, resident of San Jose, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 26th with his family by his side. Bill lived in the same home for 63 years where his children were raised. Bill was born in St. Helena to William (Dick) and Merle Eyre. He attended Santa Clara High School, San Jose State and graduated from Pharmacy school at UCSF. Bill also served in the Army as a Captain ending his service after an assignment in New Guinea. Upon graduation from UCSF he worked with his father, eventually taking over the family pharmacy in Santa Clara and continuing as a pharmacist until he retired. Bills early piano lessons, starting at 8 years old, served him well. His love of music kept him busy, playing the piano for the high school orchestra and later in life, writing and playing music with his band. He continued playing music into his late 80's. While the camping, fishing and boating trips ended years ago, Bills family enjoyed bringing the fun to him. A celebration on March 4th with the family marked Bills' 90th birthday! Preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2001, Bill is survived by his children Dorenda (Dennis), Michael (Kim), Jane (Reed) and Robert (Katherine) and brother Dave (Katy). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Matthew, Brian, Adam, Ashley, Lindsay, Sasha, Liana and great grandchild Mason. His warm, caring and fun loving spirit will be missed by all. Private services have been held.
