Kaitlyn Brooke Adams, age 1 year and 1 month, of Williamsburg, Kansas, along with her father Joshua Shane Adams, passed away of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was born September 5, 2000, at Overland Park, Kansas, to Joshua Shane and Sherri Ballard Adams.
Survivors include her mother, four brothers, Christopher McGowin, Matthew, McGowin, Natnan McGowin, and Austin McGowin, all of the home, maternal grandparents, Bob and Joyce Ballard, of Tahlequah, Okla., and Larry and Jan Graham of Williamsburg, paternal grandparents, Wayne and LaAnna Adams of Williamsburg, great-grandmother, Edna Adams of Williamsburg, great-grandparents. Ronnie and Virginia Baker of Pittsburg, Ks., two aunts and three uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joshua Shane Adams and one sister, Aubrey McGowin.
Joint funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 12 at the Dengel and Son Mortuary at Ottawa, Kansas with the Rev. William Weber officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Williamsburg. Kaitlyn and her father, Joshua Shane Adams will lie in state until the service hour at the mortuary, where the family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
