Hazel M. Koch Morris, 91, of Birmingham, Ala., formerly of Shriver, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, at Cooks Springs, Ala. She was born April 26, 1908, in Tunnelton, daughter of the late Harmon and Emma McMurdo Koch. She was a former member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church. She worked at West Virginia University Library in the binding department, and later as a housekeeper. She is survived by a son and spouse, Howard and Pam Morris, of Birmingham; a daughter and spouse, Jean and Joseph Pastor, of California; a daughter-in-law, Betty Morris, of Shriver; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. "Pete" Morris; two sons, Charles Morris and Hugh Morris; a grandson, Joseph Pastor; four brothers and four sisters. Friends may call at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, with the Rev. Willard Rowan officiating. Burial will be in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
