Lance Cpl. Michael James Halal, 22, died due to non-combat related vehicle accident. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, NC

He is survived by father, Kenneth Halal; mother, Jacqueline Mikkelson and wife Christine (Nelson) Halal; brother, Robert Halal; sisters, Chistine and Jessica Mikkelson; and stepmother, Bonnie Halal.
