John G. Kurtnacker Jr., 83, of Homestead Drive, Baldwinsville, died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Covington, Ky., Mr. Kurtnacker lived in Baldwinsville since 1945. He retired in 1976 from Olin Construction Co. and previously owned and operated Easy Coin Op laundry in Baldwinsville. He also was a truck driver with Midwest Haulers of Chicago.
An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Kurtnacker was a member of Post 113, American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Maude; three daughters, Betty Schaub of Freeport, Patricia Miller of Fulton and Joyce Johnston of Baldwinsville; four sisters, Marjorie Schaffer, Clara Mathews and Mary Talkovic, all of Sarasota, Fla., and Rita Frey of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Clay of Sarasota and James of Charleston, S.C.; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 93 Downer St.
Contributions may be made to the Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps.
