Reverend Maxi Lee Adair was born January 10, 1940 in El Paso, Texas. He went to his heavenly home August 6, 2012 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 72. Maxi graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1959. In 1960, he served his country by joining the United States Army and received an honorable discharged in 1963. Maxi married the love of his life, Charlotte Williams on December 10, 1965. They were blessed with three children. He worked for Acme Engineering beginning in 1965 until his retirement in 2002. Maxi gave his life to God on March 14, 1969 and surrendered to preach New Year's Eve 1974. During his years of service in God's Army, he pastored the Grovania Free Will Baptist Church, Fort Gibson Free Will Baptist Church, Hitchita Free Will Baptist Church, and the First Free Will Baptist Church in Muskogee. Maxi loved God and his family. He will truly be missed.

Maxi was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.D. and Mae Dyer; his mother, Lorene Hunsinger; and a brother, Billie Turman.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte, of the home; son, Darrell Adair and wife Shelley of Fort Gibson; daughters, Debbie Ennis, Diane Finley and husband Fred, all of Muskogee; grandchildren, Colby Wilson, Kristen Adair (A.J. King), Beth Johnson (Elliott Berryhill), Josh Ennis (Nikki Walworth), Kyle Adair and wife Shawnna, Jacob Ennis, Braden Mosteller, Cameron Mosteller, Becca Ennis, and Perri Mosteller; great grandchildren, Alexis, KayLee, Anniyah, Colt, Rhyan, and Addalyn; two brothers, Junior Turman and George Turman; two sisters, Ella Mae Gallivan and Carol Ann Bohanon, all of Texas, and numerous church family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 10, 2012 at Eastern Heights Baptist Church in Muskogee, Oklahoma with Brother Colby Wilson and Brother Tim Murphy officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Josh Ennis, Kyle Adair, Jacob Ennis, A.J. King, Braden Mosteller, and Cameron Mosteller. Honorary pallbearers will be Jewel Butler, Carl Schroder, Charles Ray, and Gene Rouell.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Ok. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com
