Solomon Stockwell served as a Private in Captain Craggin’s Company, Col. Tyler’s Regiment, Massachusetts Militia during the Revolutionary War.

He married Mary Howell on 20 February 1782 in Douglas, Worcester County, Massachusetts. They had at least four children: Olive, Peter, Sophia and Fanny.
