March 27, 1947 - July 17, 2011

Kenneth R. Losey, 64, Wautoma, passed away on Sunday, July 17, at home with his wife and family by his side after a short, courageous battle with brain cancer.

Kenneth was born March 27, 1947 in Wild Rose the son of Donald Losey and Frances Losey Wedde. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1965. He later went on to graduate with a two-year college degree, and then became EMS Director for Waushara County. Kenneth married the love of his life Clara M. Dutcher (who he lovingly referred to as Mazie) on May 6, 1989 in Reno, NV.

Kenneth loved farming and raising many animals; especially ostriches. He also looked forward to going to Iola Car Show, Farm Technology Days, and auctions with Clara. His hobbies included refurbishing skid loaders, John Deere Tractors, and renovating his home until becoming ill. Kenneth also helped begin the EMS in Waushara County as EMS Coordinator until he was disabled by congenital heart disease. His dream was to finish, after many years, rebuilding his 1956 Cameo Chevy Truck.

Kenneth is survived by parents, Donald (Ruth) Losey, Ridgefield WA, and Frances Wedde of Wautoma; his wife of 22 years, Clara M. Losey, Wautoma; one sister, Betty (John) Bahringer, Sobieski; three daughters with his former wife, Mary Kay Endthoff, Jeanette (Kenny) Williamson, New Lisbon, Jackie (Brian) Van Drisse, Shawano, Jolene (Mike) Saunders, Necedah; one step-daughter, Kimberly (Steven) Schumacher, West Chester PA; one step-son Corey (Gail) Dutcher, Appleton; and 10 wonderful grandchildren. Mother-in-law Donna Vetrone, Redgranite, father-in-Law Robert Vetrone, Pine River; Two brother-in laws Richard Vetrone, Antigo, Robert (Bonnie) Vetrone, Berlin; a sister-in-law Janice (Tom) Chamberlain, Red Granite. Kenneth also had a special step-sister Kathy (Joe) Meyer, Almond. Three step-sisters Judy (Steve) Turzinski, Almond, Leanne (Jim) Schultz, Almond, and Sandy (Dan) Thurley, Almond; Two step-brothers, James Pomplun, Ridgefield WA, and Kevin Pomplun, Stevens Po! int. Kenneth is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends; especially Emmitt (Debbie) Gustin and Bob (JoAnn) Schieble.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:30AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma with Rev. Robert Stegmann officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hope Cemetery, Town of Belmont, Portage County.

Relatives and Friends may call on Wednesday at the Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Thursday from 9:30am until the time of services at the Church.
