Keyser, August 13 – Charles R. Arnold
Charles R. Arnold, 56 years old, former resident of Keyser, died at 2 o’clock this morning of a heart attack at Washington D. C., where he was employed. The body will be brought to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Matheson, at McCoole. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Arnold of Keyser and twice married. His first wife was Miss Edna Stewart of Keyser. She died fifteen years ago. The following children by his first wife survive: Mrs. Matheson and Mrs. Cecil Cave, Keyser. and Stewart Arnold, Washington, D. C. He is also survived by his second wife, who was Miss Edna Smith of Keyser, and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. A. W. Stanhagen and Mrs. H. H. Sliger, Keyser, Stewart Arnold, Towson, MD., and L. Luther Arnold, and W. T. Arnold, Keyser. He was a member of Olive Branch Lodge, Knights of Pythias and the uniform rank of that fraternity. Keyser, W. Va., Aug 15 – Funeral of Charles R. Arnold
The funeral of Charles P. Arnold, who died Wednesday at his home in Washington, was held this afternoon from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Matheson, McCoole. The pallbearers were nephews, William Arnold, Arnold Lee Stanhagen, Kenneth Stanhagen, John Stanhagen, Richard and Arnold Sliger. The honorary pallbearers, Knights of Pythias, were: H. B. Montgomery, W. H. Longsdorf, W. Lough, Fred Johnston and W. E. Cheshire. Among those attending were: Mrs. C. R. Arnold, Mr. and Mr. Stewart Arnold and daughter Shirley Jean, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cave and daughter Dorothy Ann, Washington, and Mr. and Mrs. Stewart B. Arnold, Towson, MD.
