              Dybvik Brothers
   Their father was Lauritz Ludvigson who upon marrying Christine Boletta of the Dybvik farm, took over her family farm and added the name Dybvik to his own. Lauritz and Christine had 8 children. Louise Marie, Berte Pauline, Laura, Kristine, Bernt (Ben), Helmer Gunelieus, Paul Edvard, Anna Elaine, and Arne Meier
   Ben Larson Immigrated on January 25, 1905 and arrived at the port of Boston on the 10 day of February 1905. He was the oldest and first brother to immigrate. He married Marie Johnson and had 9 children, Thressa, Leif, Beatrice (Bea), Anna Lenora (Norrie) , Hilma, Gilbert (Gib), Mervin, Harvey, and Elene. The 1940 census finds Ben and Marie with Hilma, Gilbert, Harvey, Mervin and Elaine living on 922 11th street. Occupation is listed as a carpenter.
   Helmer Dybvik, per copy of his immigration papers, immigrated May 19, 1906 on the Lake Champlain & Can Pac Ry and arrived at the port of Sault St Marie, Michigan. He declared his intention on September 17th, 1908. He married Annie Graneng about 1911 and had five children, Leo Berger, Hilda Alvie, Clifford Edwin, Burnette Norman, and Melvin Arnold. He married Adrina Louise Edquist Feb 6 1957. The 1940 census indicates Helmer and Annie with Hilda Clifford, Burnett, and Melvin are living on Pine Street near his brothers in SE Brainerd.
   Paul Edvard Dybvik was a bridge builder for the railroad. He immigrated in 1914 and according to the Ellis Island manifest, he arrived Sept 2, 1914 on the Hillig Olav. He point of departure is listed as Kristiania AKershu, Norway. Point of destination is listed as Akeley, MN. On the actual immigration documents, his ship is listed as Empress of Briton & Canadian Pacific Ry arriving the port of Sault St Marie on the 10th day of June 1911. Paul married Genevieve (Jennie) Huseby June 28 1919 and had three daughters, Gladys, Bernelle, and Lorraine.
   Arne Dybvik, the youngest, arrived at Ellis Island on June 18, 1916 on the Bergensfjord. Port of Departure was Bergen, Hordaland, Norway. He was 18 at the time. He was to travel to Washington State to meet his brother Paul. They both came back to Brainerd and worked for the railroad. Arne married Edna Huseby April 17, 1919. Arne and Edna had five children, Arlene (Tutie), Leonard, Howard, Rosemarie (Rosie) and Elaine. The 1940 census finds them living on 1114 Pine Street with Leonard, Howard and Rosie not far from his brothers.
   Paul and Arne married sisters Jennie Huseby and Edna Huseby. Paul and Jennie stood up for Arne and Edna as did Arne and Edna for Paul and Jennie as listed on their marriage certificates.
