The Bismarck Tribune, ND, Oct. 23, 1986 —

HAZEN — Lydia Sailer, 82, of Golden Valley, Died Oct. 21, 1986 at Hazen Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. MDT Saturday at Golgotha Lutheran Church in Golden Valley. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery at rural Dodge.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. MDT Friday and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. MDT Saturday at Goetz Funeral Home at Hazen and one hour before services at the church.

Lydia Stuhlmiller was born Oct. 12, 1904, in south Russia. She came to the United States as a youngster and grew up on her parent's homestead six miles northeast of Dodge.

She married Jacob Sailer on Oct. 16, 1923, at rural Dodge. The couple farmed north of Dodge before retiring and moving into Golden Valley in 1961. He died in 1974.

She had been a resident of Pioneer Park Retirement Home at Hazen for two months.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond and Norman, both of Dodge, and Harold, Mandan; two daughters, Hilda Stern, Halliday, and Mrs. Arthur (Eleanor) Miller, Sheridan, Wyo.; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.

Lydia M STUHLMILLER born 12 August 1904 in Bessarabia, South Russia was the daughter of Theodore STUHLMILLER and Sophia MUELLER. Lydia immigrated to America with her parents in 1906.

Lydia married Jacob J SAILER on the 16th of October 1923 in rural Mercer County, North Dakota. This union was blessed with 6 children; Harold L, Hilda I, Edna, Eleanor, Raymond J and Norman B.
