Oregon Pioneer Laid to Rest –
James Coakley, an Oregon pioneer of 1849 and an Indian war veteran, who died December 14 at the age of 91, was laid to rest Saturday in St. Mary's Cemetery after high mass was celebrated in the chapel at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged, where Mr. Coakley had been an inmate for the past 13 years. Mr. Coakley was stricken November 22, and never recovered until the end came. He leaves no surviving relatives.
