Ten Federal agents acting on anominous tip uncovered 4 alleged liquor runnors leaving a distillary near the business district early today with a truck laden with 25 barrels of whiskey. one man killed, probably fatally wounded another and arrested one. The fourth man escaped. The man Killed was former Leutenant of police Henry Baker. The alleged rum runners drove their truck into the Federal agents and opened fire. The government officers were armed with pistols and rifles.
Henry Millard Baker was preceded in death by his brother Clarence D. Baker who died at the age of 15 and is buried with the grandparents Elijah Willis Baker and Mary Polly (Yonts) Baker in a cemetery in Millstone, Kentucky. According to Henry Millard Bakers Death record he is burried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville. I believe Cora was pregnant at the time of his death.
