Charles Schuler was born in Warren County, Pennsylvania and worked in the oil business in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming abt 1900 and worked for the railroad. He met and married Celia Hartley in Cheyenne, Wy on January 19, 1902. They had three daughters, Mary, Dorothy and Ruth.
Mary was born in Cheyenne. The family later moved to Nebraska where Charles did some farming and where Dorothy was born.
Charles did not like farming and the family moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma during an oil boom. Daughter Ruth was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma. It was there he he ran into his old boss from PA and went to work as an Oil Lease Broker and was promoted and moved along as the leases change hands from different oil and gas companies. Charles lived with his daughter Mary Schuler Whitehead in Tonkawa, Oklahoma in the 1940's,until his death in 1948.
