From the Idaho Register, Friday, April 28, 1905, Idaho Falls, ID, pg 1:

The angel of death has entered another happy household in this city and snatched a precious jewel therefrom. Word was received yesterday afternoon from Mr. Wipperman at Rock Springs that little Vina had passed away about noon. On Monday last, while Mr. Wipperman was out of the city, she spent the day with Corrinne Porter and appeared well and as lively as usual. In the evening, she was taken ill, and Mr. and Mrs. Wipperman knowing the cause of the illness to be appendicitis left on Monday morning's train with her for Rock Springs where there is a fine hospital and good surgeons. On Tuesday morning an operation was performed, and the physician pronounced it successful and believed she would get well very soon but it was not to be.

During the past two years she had several attacks and the physicians stated that the trouble was appendicitis and sometime an operation would have to be performed. It was only at stated intervals that she was troubled and was as well as any child at other times.

Vina was about twelve years of age, and was a very bright girl, in fact far above the average of girls of her age. She was dearly loved by all her schoolmates. She had a lovely disposition; one little girl said to the writer "she would give away anything she had to please a playmate."

To the bereaved parents, their many friends will sympathize with them in their bereavement.

Mr. and Mrs. Wipperman arrived about 2:30 this afternoon with the remains. The train from the east missed connection at Pocatello so they were obliged to come from there on the mixed train. A large number of friends were at the depot to meet them.

The funeral will be held from the family residence on Sunday morning at 10 o'clock.
