Boyd Nash Healey 1919-2006

Boyd Nash Healey, 86, a long time resident of Beaverton, Oregon passed away, May 29, 2006.

He was born June 28, 1919, in Alpine, Utah to Fred Smith Healey and Emiline Nash. He married Virginia O'Very, April 11, 1950. Nash grew up in Alpine and American Fork, Utah and attended school there. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Business and joined the ROTC at that time to become a Captain in the Army. He served in the Army in World War II and worked in sales for International Harvester Truck company until he retired.

Nash and Virginia made their first home in Boise, Idaho and later moved to La Mesa, California and then to Salt lake City, Utah where they raised their two children. They later moved to Beaverton, Oregon for the remaining 35 years of their lives. Nash loved golf, gardening, and snow skiing and played football for the University of Utah. He served many years as stake clerk in the LDS Church, and as a temple worker in the Portland Oregon Temple. Nash was preceded in death for his dear wife on October 10, 2005.

He is survived by his two children, Scott M. Healy (Tamralyn) of Lindon, Utah and Jill Woodward (Scott) of Ramsey, Minnesota; his sisters, Ray Colt (Roland) and Rita Molynex; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services and interment will be held Friday at 12 noon at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary and Cemetery, 1950 E 10600 S., Sandy, with a viewing prior to the service at 11:30 a.m.
