He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diane, his son Marvin, his daughter, Anna, her husband Kurt, his sister Delores, her husband Richard, his nephews, Richard, Darrell, Greg, and Jonathan, his nieces, Mary Lou and Haunani, sisters-in-law, Carolyn and Arlene, and her husband, Mike.
Edwin was born on March 24, 1933, in Honolulu, HI. He grew up and attended school in Honolulu. His first jobs were at a cabinet company, a gas station, and a nursery. He joined the Marines in 1952 and served until 1955 during the Korean War. He was very proud to be a marine and to serve his country.
His first job after his military service was working at a pineapple company. In 1955, he started a new job at Honolulu Paper Company. He moved to San Jose in 1962 and got a job at International Paper Company. His next job was at California Paperboard from 1962 to 1986. He retired from Smurfit-Stone in 2001.
Edwin enjoyed the outdoors, travel, the ocean, the mountains, camping, fishing, canoeing, and horseback riding. What made Edwin the happiest was working on old cars. He was in the process of rebuilding a 1948 Buick convertible with a 454 Chevy motor. He attended Bethel Church of San Jose.

Funeral services were held on September 25th, in the CHAPEL OF THE OAKS, OAK HILL FUNERAL HOME, San Jose. Burial at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
