Mary C. Hoopes, 89,of Middletown, died May 8 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Chester for many years before moving to Middletown in 1992.
Mrs. Hoopes was a member of the former St. Robert Church, now St. Katharine Drexel Parish.
She was the widow of William Hoopes, who died in 1982. Her mother, Catherine Sheridan and father John Sheridan also predeceased her.
Survivors: Sons, William Hoopes of New Castle, Del., Thomas Hoopes of San Antonio, Texas, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
Mass: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Katharine Drexel Church, Chester.
Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the Carr Funeral Home, 935 S. Providence Road, Wallingford.
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
