Ann M. Beason, 81, of Attalla, Ala. passed away Friday, April 10, 2009.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. Ann was a member in the Fidelis Sunday School class, a member of the Attalla Golden Age Club and a volunteer at The Etowah Mission Center. She was an active member of Stowers Hill Baptist church. She graduated form Gaston High School in 1946 and she attended Gadsden Business College. She worked at Allis Chalmers for 35 years. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a quiet person, strong in faith and gentle in spirit. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family and numerous friends. She especially delighted in her grandchildren, enjoying nothing more than watching Rebekah perform at the Auburn games as an Auburn University Majorette and Caleb team roping at rodeos.
Funeral services were held April 13, 2009 at Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Richard Bradfield officiating. Burial was in Moragne Cemetery. She was survived by her husband, Kenneth Beason, of Attalla; daughter, Karen Beason, of Attlala; son, Eddie Beason and wife, Debbie, of Russellville; grandchildren, Caleb Beason and Rebekah Beason; sisters, Margaret McCaghren, of Mobile, Jeanette Anderson and husband Floyd, of Ashville, Mary Malone, of Attalla; brother, Gerald McCarver and wife, Judy, of Calhoun, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special pet, Molly.
Pallbearers were Caleb Beason, Robert Malone, Stacey McCarver, Danny Reynolds, Lynn Padgett, Ronald Tracy and David Hooks. Honorary pallbearers were members of Stowers Hill Baptist Church.
