Nell Katherine Underwood Giles, age 92, of Cropper died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at The Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was the daughter of the late Samuel T. and Laura Ball Underwood. She was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Revenue having been employed there for 27 years, and was a member of Cropper Baptist Church where she was a pianist.
She is survived by her son: Dennis Giles (Cheryl), Cropper; three grandchildren: Dennis Michael Giles and Keith A. Tipton, both of Frankfort, and Toby P. Giles, Cropper; four great grandchildren: Michael Austin Giles, James Cooper Giles, Savanah Tipton and Madison Tipton, all of Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Giles and son, Bill Giles.
The funeral was 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at Cropper Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Cavender, pastor of Cropper Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in Pleasureville Cemetery.
