JOHN BLESER, 48, RAPIDS FARMER, DIES TODAY
John Bleser, 48, well known town of Rapids farmer and a brother of Supervisor Louis
Bleser of Manitowoc Rapids, passed away this morning at the hospital. Although in
failing health he was able to be about his duties on the homestead farm, west of the
city, until a week ago when he was removed to the hospital here.
The deceased was born in the town of Rapids in 1883 and always made his home in the
county. He was a great lover of fishing and hunting and although of a quiet and
retiring disposition boasted of a wide circle of friends who will be grieved to learn
of his passing. He was married 21 years ago to Miss Rose Anderes of Reif's Mills who
survives him with three children, Lester, 19, Hildegard, 17, and Agnes, 13. In
addition his aged mother, Mrs. Adam Bleser, of Rapids, two brothers, Louis and Walter,
both of Rapids, and three sisters, Mrs. C.W. Meisnest and Mrs. Nic Fey, both of this
city, and Mrs. Frank Hall of Route 6, also survive.
The remains will be removed to the homestead from the Wattawa, Urbanek & Schlei funeral
home on Wednesday afternoon and burial will take place Thursday morning at nine from
the home and at 9:30 from the Sacred Heart church here, with interment at Evergreen
cemetery.
