Herbert Blumenstein, 85, of 1420 Royce Ave., Kalamazoo, Mich., died Tuesday at
Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo.
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, with the Rev. Theodore Vinger officiating and burial was in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Blumenstein was born Dec. 28, 1888, at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles
and Henrietta McGlaughlin Blumenstein. He was a veteran of World War I, serving
in the army. He was a retired telegraph operator and a member of the American
Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche, of Kalamazoo; two brothers, Walter, of
Mosinee and Arthur, of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Reichert, of Manitowoc,
nieces and nephews and other relatives. Two brothers and three sisters preceded
him in death.
