HENRY BONNEFOI (d. 1961)

Henry Bonnefoi Sr., 76, of 1222 S. 10th St. Manitowoc, died late
Tuesday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, following a coronary attack
Tuesday morning while shoveling snow.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Jens Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, the Rev. Donald T. Stannard officiating. Burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Bonnefoi was born April 29, 1885, at Chicago, son of the late
Henry and Emilie Kretzschmar Bonnefoi. He attended schools at Chicago
and married Lillie Baetke June 21, 1910, at Manitowoc. The couple
resided at Chicago until 1913 then returned to Manitowoc where Mr.
Bonnefoi was a clerk for Chicago and North Western Railway Co. from
1913 until 1933, and with the Pere Marquette Railroad Co. from 1933
until 1943.
Mr. Bonnefoi then was employed at the Baetke Butcher Shop on South
Tenth streets in Manitowoc from 1943 to 1948 when he and his son went
into the butcher business at 25th Street and Western Avenue from 1948
to 1955. He then retired.
He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church and a 25 year member of
the Royal League.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Henry Jr., of Manitowoc, a step-
brother, William Bonnefoi, of Encino, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Two sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
