Joretta M. Burish, age 73, formerly of 1810 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, June 3, 2005 at St. Mary's Home in Manitowoc. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 1122 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. will officiate with burial of her cremated remains to take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Joretta was born July 26, 1931 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Adolph and Margaret Vieau Bonk. She grew up in Manitowoc and was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc. On Jan. 15, 1949, she was married to James W. Burish at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. James preceded her in death on July 24, 2003. Joretta was a long time employee of First National Bank in Manitowoc and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her four children: Michael Burish of Racine; Lyn (Bruce) Wilk of West Bend; Chris Burish of Dublin, Calif.; Greg (Nicole) Burish of Clayton, Calif.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Gregory (Lois) Bonk of Manitowoc; John (Eileen) Bonk of Manitowoc; five sisters and three brothers-in-law: Ruth Joy (Dale) Avery of Whitelaw; Connie (Allan) Scheurell of Manitowoc; Sandra Allinson of Manitowoc; Penny (Dick) Karbon of De Pere; Debra Dirkman of Manitowoc; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Ronald (Mary Jane) Burish of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Becky Burish; and one brother: Duane Bonk. Relatives and friends may call at the Jens Family Funeral Home and Crematory on Saturday, June 11, 2005 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m.
