JULIUS DOUBEK

Julius W. Doubek, 85, of 1125 N. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon,
May 16 at Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Monday
at Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Innocents
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Daniel J. Felton will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Doubek was born July 31, 1900 at Cooperstown, Wis., son of the late John
and Mary Kadletz Doubek. He was educated at Manitowoc. Mr. Doubek was employed
at Peterson Sheet Metal and later at F.C. Heiden Company until retiring in 1965.
He married Emily Kimmel, July 21, 1925 at St. Joseph Catholic Church,
Kellnersville. The couple celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in 1985.
Mr. Doubek was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Eagles Aerie No. 706
and Sheet Metal Workers Union No. 18. He enjoyed his vegetable garden and
fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Emily; a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn A. and
Jack G. Rief of Kiel; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter,
Elaine of 1968, two granddaughters; a brother and two sisters.
Friends may call at Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
4 pm to 8 pm Sunday, where a prayer service will be 7:30 pm by Deacon Kenneth
Nelesen.
