Mrs. Bertha W. Halderson, 91, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday evening,
Nov. 28, at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Sunday
at First Lutheran Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. Bruce W. Hanstedt will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Halderson was born July 17, 1894 in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the
late Edward G. and Augusta A. Peters Bleck. She grew up and was educated at
Rockland. She was married to Corty Halderson, April 17, 1913 at Valders. He
preceded her in death July 28, 1958. Mrs. Halderson was a member of First
Lutheran church.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Thomas W. Ebenhoe of Manitowoc; a brother and
sister-in-law, Edward T. and Viola Bleck of Brillion; two sisters, Esther R.
Bleck of Brillion and Rosalie S. Valleskey of Kiel; a sister-in-law, Ruth Bleck
of Valders; three granddaughters and five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons,
Elton and Elroy, a daughter, Elmyra Ebenhoe, a brother and three sisters.
Relative and friends may call at First Lutheran Church, after 1 pm Sunday until
the time of services. Memorials to First Lutheran church would be appreciated.
Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge
of funeral arrangements.
