Mrs. Doris Jansen, 68, of 620 Chicago St., Manitowoc, died early Friday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home
and at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald
Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Jansen, nee Doris Jansen, was born Feb. 11, 1906, at Niagara, Wis., daughter
of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Jansen Jansen (sic). She was educated in
Combined Locks schools. She was married to Sylvester Jansen May 28, 1924, at
Kaukauna. She was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. Manitowoc, retiring in 1970.
Mr. Jansen preceded her in death in January of 1974. She was a member of Sacred
Heart Parish and VFW Auxiliary of Manitowoc.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, (private); five brothers, Victor, of Eugene,
Ore., Curtis and Clarence, of Kaukauna and John and Joseph of Little Chute; four
sisters, Mrs. Adreana VanLinn, of Little Chute, Mrs. Orvena VanLinn, of Appleton,
Mrs. Norbert (Grace) Lemberger, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frances Wellhouse, of
Waukesha and six grandchildren. A son, Joseph, and a sister preceded her in
death.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday,
where a prayer service will be at 8 p.m.
